Online school taught me discipline, and as stated before, focus. This discipline and focus for self-motivated learning will assist me as I go to college.

Students decide to complete there education online for many reasons including, not wanting to deal with the drama of brick and mortar schools, or in some cases students are not able to focus as well as others in the face to face environment. Online schooling gives students the ability to go at their own pace, which give them the opportunity to fully comprehend there course material. Online learning give students a broad range of learning. For example if a student is ahead of the curve they can take classes based on their growing knowledge or if a student needs more one on one assistance the school is able to provide individualized help.

When picking courses one should specifically look for topics of interest. For example, in my junior year of high school I was given the opportunity to either study Chemistry or French. Both topics of study would broaden my education and increase my knowledge, but chemistry was not a peak interest of mine nor was it a graduation requirement like French was. Therefore I decide to study French, as I knew the knowledge would be valuable later in life. I also believe that challenging yourself is a great advantage, and when looking for a course not only choose a topic you are interested in, but also pick a topic that will challenge you to understand new concepts.

Furthermore, in an online school environment I learned quickly that if you don't try to achieve yourself, you will not get far. Online school taught me discipline, and as stated before, focus. This discipline and focus for self-motivated learning will assist me as I go to college. My limited Traditional learning experience did not inspire me to become a disciplined learner. I also found too much distraction in the traditional environment. By far, my online learning provided me greater preparation and skills for suture learning.
