Taking online courses has been an incredible experience. The ability to work at my own pace, have dynamic course structures, and work one-on-one with great teachers made my courses much more enjoyable.

...Before switching to Keystone, I attended a public school. As the years went by, I began to lose motivation for homework and staying involved in my classes. Each year seemed the same, and the dull repetition diminished my interest. Eventually, I decided to transition midway through my junior year because I yearned for a new adventure, an innovative and much more exciting way to study and learn. I finished high school by earning 6.5 credits from Keystone, including two AP classes. This was a nontraditional approach to graduating, but after talking to several advocates of online learning, I was enthralled.

In the end, these courses were much more challenging and better complemented my passion for learning... I am eager to take what I learned over the past year and a half through online classes to the University of Tennessee, where I will take part in the Chancellor’s Honors Program.

The online courses I took pushed me to my highest potential, and I am confident I will thrive next year in college. Because I completed AP Statistics and AP Biology, I will also have a head start on college credits.

I had taken an AP class at my high school, but when the time came for AP Testing in May, I was not nearly as confident as I was for this year’s tests. Through Keystone I became more prepared and absorbed more of the information in the classes I took, and so putting it all together during exams felt like a breeze.

I am a dedicated advocate for blended learning, and will continue to encourage others to take online classes at some point because it is an amazing opportunity for a fresh learning experience.
