The blended school that I attend has given so many amazing opportunities in the past four years, that I would never have been able to experience in a traditional classroom setting

Blended and online learning courses are an amazing way to bridge learning gaps for students. More and more students are falling behind in education due to the traditional system. Blended classes allow students to receive individualized learning, while being in a system where they are treated like a person, not a number. When all students are given the amount of time they need to work at their own pace, more students actually understand the material being taught. Huge learning gaps are occurring because in traditional education, material is taught and students are tested over it. If students don't understand the material, they are told to study harder next time, and the class moves on. Blended and online learning courses are bridging these learning gaps each and every day. The courses that I have taken in a blended environment have characteristics that make
them outstanding.

Classes that I have taken have been very beneficial to my knowledge. Part of what makes these classes so amazing are the teachers. Each teacher at my school goes above and beyond to ensure that all students feel good about the work they are doing.

Regular classes are held three days a week, where students attend and learn the material being taught. Then, students work on their work during "flex" time online. If a student does not understand or remember the material taught, they are always welcome to meet with the teacher and discuss. The way that these classes are set up ensure that students can complete course work, while comprehending the material being taught. Compared to a traditional classroom, I have been able to express myself in school and push my limits each and every day with a blended system. For me, I have found that having free time on your hands means one can spend more time participating in athletics or extra curricular activities. Any time that I am caught up on work, I am down in the business center, completing tasks for the Future Business Leaders of America, of which I am a part of. Being the president of Pangburn's local chapter means that I must devote countless hours to the organization.

Another opportunity that I have been given through the blended school system is being able to participate in an internship program. I currently work as an Administrative Assistant for an automotive business. Answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and performing weekly payroll are a few of the activities I am responsible for. The internship program and the blended system have allowed me to have such an amazing opportunity, that will ultimately help my success later in life. The blended school that I attend has given so many amazing opportunities in the past four years, that I would never have been able to experience in a traditional classroom setting.
