Working at my own pace, I am able to set my schedule of when I work on assignments. I can work around extra curricular activities, and even complete assignments ahead of time.

Education has progressed quite a bit within the last few years. I am so thankful to have the opportunity to participate in blended/online courses. Because of this type of education, I have been able to participate in dual credit courses that allow me to take courses that count towards high school courses needed for graduation, as well as college credits that will count towards my degree. As an online student, I am able to see first hand how blended/online learning courses bridge learning gaps for students.

Learning gaps are bridged mainly because of the enhancement of technology. Technology is a great resource and is a learning tool that is a growing source of productivity and education. Online learning courses provides ways of learning for students that are unable to travel or attended a classroom environment. For example, my mom was blessed to be able to go back to school and get her degree online and did not have to travel to the university for the traditional type classroom atmosphere. Instead, she had the privilege of participating in a more global type classroom online. This type of classroom allows students like my mom and even me, to work more independently and at my own pace.

I have been able to bridge a gap for myself that connects my high school courses requirements and college requirements. When offered a choice of courses in the online learning environment, I ultimately chose classes that benefited me in more than one way. First, these classes helped me complete high school courses needed to graduate, as well as will count as college credits towards my upcoming degree, such as an English Composition or Art Appreciation. By taking these courses, I not only received high school credit for graduation,d quality points for such rigorous courses, and I also receive credit towards my college degree for these same courses. I am thankful I was able to take advantage of this opportunity.

As I compare my learning experience in a traditional classroom and the time spent within an online classroom, there is much to differ. The traditional classroom environment has such routine with a set time, schedule, and is a more teacher led environment. However, the online experience is a more casual atmosphere, student led, and able to work at one's own pace with a set due date for assignments. Working at my own pace, I am able to set my schedule of when I work on assignments. I can work around extra curricular activities, and even complete assignments ahead of time. I have been able to meet students virtually that are not from my hometown and this has allowed me to make connections, friendships, and develop new learning styles
from others.
