Future of School Named Best Nonprofit Organization by Excellence in Equity Awards
The American Consortium for Equity in Education selected Future of School as a winner in the category Best Nonprofit Organization or Community Partner in the K-12 awards program
Denver, CO―November 16, 2022―Future of School, the national public charity working to ensure all students reach their unbounded potential no matter where their learning takes place, was selected as a winner in the inaugural Excellence in Equity Awards program presented by the American Consortium for Equity in Education. The award was presented in the category Best Nonprofit Organization or Community Partner.
This competitive awards program honoring schools, educators, and industry received more than 160 total nominations from across the U.S., plus a number of submissions from abroad. In total, 30 winners were selected in 16 unique industry categories with an additional 21 winners selected in 10 categories dedicated to educators and schools.
“From the start, Future of School has worked to eliminate many of the persistent barriers to students’ learning while increasing their opportunities,” said Amy Valentine, Executive Director, Future of School. “Earning this award is an acknowledgement that we’ve set our sights on the right goals and made progress in our efforts to support educators and students. The awards were created to acknowledge, spotlight, and celebrate high-impact work across K-12 education, as well as expand and enhance the discussion around educational equity. After the judges’ review, Future of School was selected as a winner based on outstanding achievements including:
Awarding more than $2.3 million in scholarships to students in 47 different states and territories since 2016.
Providing educators with more than $430,000 in real-time grant funding to support timely acquisition of valuable programs and tools to transform classroom learning.
Launching the Resilient District Prize (RDP) program during the pandemic to honor the educators who embraced innovation during difficult times. The inaugural RDP presented eight schools and districts with funding between $10,000-25,000 to sustain and scale their successful professional development, technology, and engagement initiatives.
Future of School further supported the 2022 Excellence in Equity Awards by serving as a Silver Sponsor and the category sponsor for two award categories. The winners in these categories are:

Best Blended and Online Learning Solution: Cirkled In and TeachTown (co-winners)
Future of School also congratulates Patrick Riccards of the Driving Force Institute, who was named co-winner in the Best Nonprofit Organization or Community Partner category, as well as all the nominees, finalists and winners.
